sunglasses should be on your checklist when your family heads out to the
beach or park this summer. If you're like most parents, you probably are
not as concerned about their eyes as their skin protection. We'll it is
time to get your children in the habit of protecting their eyes with their
own child sunglasses.
According to a recent
survey, nearly half of parents say their children seldom or never wear
child sunglasses. And while parents do understand the sun's potential
for damaging their child's eyesight--82 percent say it's important for
children to wear sunglasses with 100 percent ultraviolet ray protection--children
are twice as likely to wear sunscreen on their exposed skin as they are
to wear protective sunglasses.
Adults are more likely
to wear appropriate eyewear while outside in sunny conditions. But children
are at high risk too, because they often spend much more time outdoors.
Child sunglasses should me a must.
Children may be reluctant to wear child sunglasses, but you can convince
them that it makes them cool! Since kids love to copy their parents, show
them by example. After they get into their teens it won't be a problem.
They'll want the most expensive designer sunglasses available.
